Brian and I took our nieces and nephews to the Scottish Festival last Friday. That was quite an experience. While Cathy and Travis are in Europe, the family has been taking turns watching the kids. The kids usually go over to Thanksgiving Point every year to the festival, so we volunteered to take them. It was pretty fun! We had dinner, got to watch the kids sword-fight a "giant," danced in the field, and watched fireworks. I think we all had a good time. We are going to tend the kids this weekend. It will be our first challenge in the wonderful adventure of parenthood. Wish us luck! I am grateful that Nat, Lindsay, Ethan and Clarissa are really good kids. We will all have a great time together!
Speaking of parenthood, Lacey and Travis brought their baby, Adyson, to the hospital on Tuesday. We all had lunch together. It was really good to see all of them. Adyson is beautiful, and Travis cracks me up! He's so quick! And I always love to see Lace. She came up to clean out her desk and visit a bunch of our friends. She starts her new job on Monday. Good luck, Lace!
I think that's all of our news for now. I better get outta here before the day disappears! Errands, here I come!

Wide World of Sports...
Ok, ok. I'm a slacker this week. I had very good intentions of updating our blog, but I didn't get around to it. For those of you not "in the know" or just not sports fans, here is an update for you. The Boston Celtics are the 2008 World Champions in basketball. They beat the Lakers by 39 points in game 6 in Boston. How sweet is that to win on your home court? Paul Pierce won the Finals MVP award. He played great all year and truly deserved to win this prize. He stuck with the Celtics for the last 10 years through all the horrible seasons. Yay Celtics!
Now on to golf...
Tiger Woods has won his 14th major, beating Rocco Mediate in a playoff on Monday. Tied after 18 holes, they played a sudden death hole. Tiger finished it off there. He is the 2008 U.S. Open champ. Too bad not many of us got to see it on a workday. Bad news: Tiger will be out for a while this year; he has a torn ACL and fractured left leg. Golf won't be very exciting. Or was it ever in the first place? (If Tiger Woods wasn't around, I wouldn't care about golf at all!)
