Baby Watch 2012

And now for the post you've all been waiting for...

We're going to be parents! Yay! It has been a long time coming. We are overjoyed that a little baby is on it's way. I had my first prenatal appointment on Monday. We got lucky & heard the little heartbeat for the first time. So cool! I think everything feels a little more real. I had a few symptoms (no morning sickness, thank heaven!) for the last 2 months. But now it's really TRUE! The fun begins...

Busyness...

The last few weeks have gone by quickly. It is already the middle of July for heaven's sake! Here are some stories of what we've been up to.

For the 4th of July, we had a BBQ at the Reynolds'. It was really fun. Cathy's family came over & they all let Lily play with them. I was very happy at how well Lily adjusts to situations. She doesn't jump on anyone but sure loves to give kisses! Her new thing is crawling on her belly when kids are a little nervous about her size & waggling body. It's pretty cute.

Last weekend, we attended a luau. Tau's daughter graduated from high school. It's amazing how many people show up for Polynesian luaus! They even have enough food for all to carry out plenty of leftovers. We got a few laughs since we ate "like Americans." We just can't eat that much anymore! Everything tasted awesome, & the teenagers put on a little show with music & dancing. How do they shake their hips so fast? I was practicing in front of the mirror & Brian caught me! =) Don't we all wish we could dance? I thought it was really cool how family-oriented they are. They love to be together & have a good time. And they are such gracious hosts! Can't wait to go again!

Another Hit!

Brian & I had a blast yesterday watching the new Disney/Pixar movie, "Cars 2." If you want to relax & have a lot of fun, GO SEE IT! It's light & comedic; perfect for the summertime. Please ignore any critical assessments. I've found that film critics don't know a good movie when they watch one. And really, they want to diss on Pixar since all of their movies have been amazing thus far. Lightning & Mater are great together. Plus the world trip is really beautiful. Also, make sure you get there early to catch the new short, "Hawaiian Vacation." Ken kills me!

In honor of Pixar's 25th anniversary, enjoy the new playlist full of great Pixar songs. See if you know them all! If you are into great music, go buy the album "Disney/Pixar Greatest." It gives me goosebumps. Awesome music sure tells a story.

BIG Sigh of Relief

As you can tell from the lack of blogging, life has been a little hectic. And studying for my final has been non-stop. (I profusely apologize to Brian & Lily for the neglect.) But I am happy to announce that I passed my class on Saturday! Yay! The final was a doozy, especially without a study guide (who does that?). But I had enough total points to get out of that class with a passing grade. Wheew!

This week I'm back enjoying my afternoons napping, reading, & walking Lily. Plus the weather has been cooperating & giving us some sunshine. I will be enjoying the warm, fresh air on my patio chair. Hooray for summer!
