Doggy Heaven...Sort Of

So...Lily got her first experience at the dog park last night. Quite entertaining for Brian and me. Poor Lily, she's a shy girl around other dogs. No problem with other people. She kept walking up to the owners around there and got a pet. But man, if there was a dog pack headed her way, down went the tail and ears. She kept going underneath Brian's bench to hide. We even uttered the words, "Lily, stop being such a wussy!" The best part was this little white dog wasn't paying attention to his surroundings and came barreling into Lily...crash! They both had startled looks. Then he barked at Lily as if it were her fault. So funny! We'll try it again, probably at least once a week when the weather is nice. Lily WILL be a PRO!

Updates...

Hey, there! We have been on a hiatus the last few weeks. My brother, Daniel, got home from Portugal. Grandma Joy & Grandpa Gerald came out and visited with everyone. We took them out to Red Lobster and had a good time. Brian and I sang in Relief Society last week. Last night, we had dinner with the Wyatt's and stuffed ourselves on awesome lasagna & brownies. Lily had a blast playing with Zoey. While the dogs were running around, we all played some card games. We'll have to find the Scrabble Slam game and take our families on (so fun!). So...we are getting caught up on our sleep! Zzzzzzzzzzz..........

Mostly Disappointed...

This picture explains it all. When you love a team and a great American game, a loss kills big time. The Indianapolis Colts were bested by the New Orleans' Saints in Super Bowl XLIV with a score of 31-17. The Colts were pretty dead on defense and not quite in rhythm on offense. It's too bad. I do have a feeling that they will be back with all the pieces in place. Manning will get another ring and the monkey off his back. He's the second best quarterback ever, in my opinion (Joe Montana will always be #1). So...hats off to the Saints and playing with a lot of heart to get the win. Their defense covered up all the great receivers, and their offense kept marching down the field for big scores. The city of New Orleans deserves some happiness so I hope they enjoy their moment. Congrats!

SLAMA JAMA!

Brian will probably mock me for this title. Oh, well. We went and saw the Jazz beat the Mavs, 104-92. Loved it! Paul Millsap (pictured above with a great dunk) was the leading scorer with 25 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks. The Jazz had a little trouble in the 3rd quarter (typical), but they got it together after they shut down my least favorite, Dirk Nowitzki. I love that the Salt Lake crowd still boos that guy!

Andrei Kirilenko surprised with his aggressive play and 4 steals which helped the Jazz pull away in the 4th quarter. As Hot Rod would say, "You gotta love it, baby!"
